Rolf Svanoe, the Vesterheim Museum Travel Director, will present his experiences with the “Crossings 200” celebrations in Norway and New York. Crossings 200 commemorates the largest Norwegian immigration in modern times. The original Restauration was a sloop built in 1801, in Hardanger, Norway. It became a symbol of Norwegian-American immigration. A replica of the sloop Restauration, sailed from Byfjorden on July 4th, 2025, and arrived in New York on October 9th and Rolf was there!  Rolf will also mention the exciting travel programs offered.
